Francesca and Scott have lived in the beautiful high wield of Sussex for over 10 years and have 2 children. We have watched the incredible development of the local vineyards and the transformation of Sussex into the dominant wine region in the UK. We thoroughly enjoy our local wines and have always supported local business so when Jack and Liv set up Sussex Wine Tours back in 2018 Francesca was quick to get onboard.
Growing up I spent many summers in the Bordeaux region of France where my grandparents lived amongst the vineyards. Days out often took in cellar visits and from here my love of wine blossomed and has continued.
My day job however is very different, I work with young people in areas of deprivation across London in a social inclusion charity, as a behavioural specialist. I love my job very much and I am passionate about the work I do.
I feel incredibly lucky to be able to have both these passions in my life and it is thanks to my wonderful supportive family that this is all possible.
Sussex Wine Tours began in 2018 when we went to an English wine tasting. In truth, we went because it was free! But we were soon blown away by the quality of the wines and the passion of the people who made them.
Each of us hails from wine country - Jack from Sussex, where the majority of England’s vineyards are concentrated; and Liv from Sydney, a stone’s throw from the world famous Hunter Valley. Ultimately, though, we aren’t sommeliers or expert tasters - we’re just people who love to enjoy a glass of wine with friends.
Sussex Wine Tours is a labour of love for us, alongside our day jobs - Liv works in international development and Jack for a social inclusion charity. We really hope that our visitors will come to love the wines of Sussex and Kent as much as we do.
